State Sen. Darryl Rouson will be filling in on Florida Live for Dan Maduri who will be on vacation.

TAMPA BAY – Florida Sen. Darryl Rouson and political strategist Barry Edwards will guest host the radio talk show Florida Live, while regular host Dan Maduri is on vacation.

Rouson and Edwards will share the hosting duties on Thursday (June 8), Friday (June 9) and June 22 and 23 during the afternoon drive time slot. The show airs on WIXC – AM 1060 in the Melbourne-Cocoa market and WWBA – AM 820 in the Greater Tampa Bay market.

Rouson is a Democrat who has represented the 19th district that includes parts of Pinellas and Hillsborough counties. He previously served four terms in the Florida House of Representatives. During his most recent term in the state legislature, Rouson passed several bills including his Juvenile Civil Citation bill, which gives police officers the discretion to issue juveniles a citation for three separate misdemeanors, and the Backyard Gun Range bill that bans recreational shooting in densely residential areas.
