Hear from the Candidates Running for Oldsmar City Council

Voters will have a chance to hear from the candidates for Seats 1 and 4 during a Tuesday candidates forum.

OLDSMAR -The Upper Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with the League of Women Voters – North Pinellas County, have scheduled a forum for the candidates running for the Oldsmar City Council.

The forum is scheduled from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday (Jan. 8) in the Oldsmar Council chamber, Second Floor, 101 State St. W. The event is open to the public.

Each candidate will be given the opportunity to provide a brief opening and closing statement regarding their candidacy and respond to questions posed by the moderator from the League of Women Voters. The candidates for both Seats 1 and 4 have been invited to take part.

Running for Seat 1 are Andrew Knapp, Linda Norris and Matt Clarke. There is no incumbent running for Seat 1. Eric Seidel, who holds the seat, ran unopposed for mayor.

Running for Seat 4 are incumbent Jerry Beverland and challenger Katie Gannon.

  eidel and Seat 2 Incumbent Dan Saracki, who is also unopposed, will be present to provide opening statements at the event.

The non-partisan election is March 12. The last day to register to vote in the Oldsmar election is Feb. 11.
