Gerard Chosen to Lead Pinellas County Commission

Dave Eggers was chosen vice chair.

PINELLAS COUNTY – The The Pinellas County Commission unanimously approved Pat Gerard to chair the group during the upcoming year.

Commissioners on Tuesday (Nov. 12) also unanimously selected Dave Eggers to be the 2020 vice chair.

Gerard, who served as vice chair of the group for 2019, was elected to the commission in 2014. A former Largo mayor, she has served on other boards and commissions including CareerSource Pinellas.

Eggers, a former Dunedin mayor, has served on the commission since 2014.

Commissioner Karen Williams Seel will continue to chair the board through the end of 2019.

The Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners governs all unincorporated areas of Pinellas County, and is responsible for approving the county budget and establishing requirements for county departments under its control. The commission holds regular public meetings and work sessions throughout the year.
