Steyer Seeks to Mobilize Voters in St. Pete, Tampa

Tom Steyer, the founder of NextGen America, will registers students at the University of Tampa then will be featured at a Town Hall with St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman at USFSP.

TAMPA/ST. PETERSBURG – Tom Steyer is scheduled to visit St. Petersburg and Tampa on Friday (Sept. 28) to energize voters ahead of the November midterms.

In the morning, Steyer will join NextGen Florida organizers at the University of Tampa to engage students and register them to vote in November.

In the evening, he will host a “Need to Vote” town hall moderated by St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman. Steyer and Kriseman are scheduled to discuss issues affecting the community, take questions, and encourage attendees to make a plan for taking action this fall.

Steyer is founder and president of NextGen America and Need to Impeach.

NextGen America is running the largest youth organizing program in American history, and Need to Impeach has built an online community of almost 5.7 million members.This fall, Steyer is hosting Need to Vote town halls that engage both the NextGen America and Need to Impeach communities and encourage them to take action for Democrats up and down the ticket on Nov. 6.
