NextGen Florida is working to register, engage, and organize young voters across the state to elect Andrew Gillum and other progressives to office.

TAMPA – NextGen Florida will host a “One Week Out” Day of Action on Tuesday (Oct. 30) to kick off its final get-out-the-vote push ahead of election day.

Across 43 campuses, NextGen organizers will train volunteers, and then set out to canvass on campus, make calls, and send texts to turn out young people for the Nov. 6 midterm election. At the events, organizers and volunteers will provide information on polling places and help Floridians make a plan for voting.

NextGen Florida representatives are scheduled to be at the University of South Florida from 11 am. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, 4202 E Fowler Ave. in Tampa.

Ahead of the midterm elections, NextGen’s field team has already knocked 21,000 doors, made more than 49,000 calls, and sent more than 50,000 texts to get out the vote.

NextGen Florida is working to register, engage, and organize young voters across the state to elect Andrew Gillum to the governor’s seat, flip Congressional Districts 18, 26, and 27, and defend the seats of U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson, D-FL, and U.S. Rep. Stephanie Murphy, D-Orlando.

With more than 120 staff and fellows on the ground, NextGen is working to organize young voters in their communities and has registered more than 50,000 young Floridians to vote this year.

Early voting has begun. The election is Nov. 6.
