A forum is scheduled Thursday (Feb. 2) for the candidates running for the Guflport City Council.

GULFPORT – Voters here will have a chance to ask questions of the people who are running for the two open seats on the Gulfport City Council during a forum Thursday (Fab. 2).

The forum is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Catherine Hickman Theater, 5501 27th Ave. S (enter on the 26th Avenue S entrance). If you are unable to attend, the forum will be broadcast “live” on the City of Gulfport Television Station, Channel 640 or 97-6 on Spectrum Cable and on the City’s website: mygulfport.us/gtv640. The forum will be facilitated by the League of Women Voters.

Two seats are up for grabs in the March 14 election. Candidates for the Ward II seat are incumbent Christine Anne Brown and challenger Linda Bailey. In Ward IV, incumbent Michael Fridovich is facing challengers Bobby L. Reynolds, Richard Fried and Ernest Stone.

The final day to register to vote is Feb. 13.
