Matthews, Edelman Reelected in Seminole

Bob Matthews and Roger Edelman easily won reelection to the Seminole City Council.

SEMINOLE – Bob Mattews and Roger Edelman were easily reelected to the Seminole City Council.

According to unofficial results from the Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections, Edelman got about 35.2 percent (1,949 votes) of the vote. Matthews was close behind with about 34.8 percent (1,926 votes). Eight-time candidate Tom Christy came in third place with about 19.1 percent (1,057 votes). First time candidate Joseph Pacelli trailed with about 11 percent of the vote (609 votes).

The two top votegetters take office.

This will be Edelman’s second term on the council. He is president of the Seminole Chamber of Commerce.

Matthews, owner of Seminole Garden Florist & Party Store, has served on the Seminole council since 1990 with the exception of eight months in 2006-07.
