Philip Levine is running for governor.

TAMPA – Former Miami Beach mayor and Democratic gubernatorial candidate Philip Levine will campaign today (June 1) in Tampa.

Levine will take part in three events – an education roundtable with the Alliance for Public Schools, the Florida National Organization of Women Conference, and a roundtable conversation with Hispanic business and community leaders.

Levine will speak with community members about their top issues, main priorities, and concerns for Florida’s future as the 2018 election draws nearer.

The Florida National Organization of Women aims to eliminate discrimination and achieve and protect the equal rights of all women and girls in all aspects of social, political, and economic life.

The Hispanic Business and Community Leaders Roundtable is an event hosted by Itamar Martinez, Victor Padilla, and Jolie Gonzalez-Padilla that aims to bring attention to important issues within the Tampa Bay area’s Hispanic community.

The Hillsborough County Education Roundtable is an event hosted by Melissa Erickson, founder of the Alliance for Public Schools in Hillsborough. The Alliance aims to educate, engage, and inspire families and communities to collectively support high quality public schools and the children who attend them.

The primary is Aug. 28. The general election is Nov. 6.
