Gwen Graham is running for the Democratic nomination for Florida governor.

TAMPA – Democratic gubernatorial candidate Gwen Graham will attend a church service and then meet voters today (Aug. 26) at East Tampa’s Open Cafe as voters mobilize on Souls to the Polls.

Open Cafe, run by the St. John Cathedral, is a restaurant and mission, with a goal to provide employment and on-the-job training for those who may have had a hard time being employed. Graham will learn more about the organization from Florence Gainer and meet voters as they head to the polls.

Graham’s visit to the Open Cafe is scheduled for 1 p.m. The Open Cafe is at 3222 N 34th St. in Tampa.

Graham is considered to be one of the three front runners in the race for the Democratic nomination for governor. Early voting ends today in Pinellas and Hillsborough counties. The election – the last chance to vote in the primary – is Tuesday (Aug. 28).

Graham, a lawyer, served one term in the U.S. House of Representatives. She is the daughter of former Florida Gov. Bob Graham.
