He is running for Seat 3 on the Tarpon Springs City Commission.

TARPON SPRINGS – Connor Donovan has turned in his statement of candidacy officially launching his campaign for Seat 3 on the Tarpon Springs City Commission.

Donovan said he plans to improve the city’s infrastructure and protect the environment. If elected, he would become the youngest city commissioner in the history of Tarpon Springs.

Donovan was born and raised in Tarpon Springs. He attended Tarpon Springs and Sunset Hills Elementary schools, Tarpon Springs Middle School, and Tarpon Springs High School. He said that Tarpon Springs needs someone that truly understands the city’s dedicated traditions and culture. Voters should choose, a local who loves the city, he said.

God blessed Tarpon Springs with beautiful waterfront views, fantastic fishing, and an environment that welcomes outdoor recreation, Donovan said. He added, that it’s vital to protect the environment by conserving the natural land and helping our waterways. Being a coastal city is no excuse to allow residential roads to be plagued by constant flooding, he said. By empowering the Public Works department and applying for appropriate grants, the infrastructure can be improved.

Seat 3 on the Tarpon Springs commission is held by Susan Miccio-Kikta.

The non-partisan election is March 12.
