Election supervisors across Tampa Bay are reminding voters that Wednesday (Oct. 31) is the last day to request a mail ballot for the upcoming general election.

PASCO COUNTY – Brian E. Corley, Pasco County’s supervisor of elections, is reminding voters that Wednesday (Oct. 31) is the last day for the elections’ office to mail vote-by-mail ballots.

Ballot requests received in the supervisor’s office by 5 p.m. that day will be honored. Request a ballot in Pasco by calling 800-851-8754.

Ballots will still be available for pick-up over the counter at the three supervisor’s offices until 5 p.m. Monday (Nov. 5). Voters wishing to pick up ballots on behalf of someone will need a written request from the voter designating them as the person authorized to carry out the ballot. The designee will be asked to provide a photo ID and to complete an affidavit before the ballot is released to them.

Florida Statutes do not allow for vote-by-mail ballots to be picked up in the supervisor’s office on the day of the election unless an emergency prevents the voter from going to their assigned polling place. An affidavit affirming the facts of the emergency is required. The only exception is voters residing in an assisted-living facility.

All voted ballots must be physically in the elections’ office by 7 p.m. election day (Nov. 6). That includes ballots delivered by the U.S. Postal Service. Voted ballots may be hand delivered to any of the three Supervisor of Elections’ Offices in Pasco County by the 7 p.m. election day deadline but may not be turned in at the polls on election day.
