Crist, Gillum Help Kriseman Get Out the Vote

Early voting ends Sunday (Nov. 5). The election is Tuesday (Nov. 7).

ST. PETERSBURG – U.S. Rep. Charlie Crist, D-St. Petersburg, and Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum joined St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman today (Nov. 4) as he launched the final get-out-the-vote effort of the mayoral campaign.

Kriseman is seeking his second term as St. Petersburg mayor. He is facing a challenge from former Mayor Rick Baker. Early voting ends Sunday (Nov. 5) and voters go to the polls Tuesday (Nov. 7).

As part of Kriseman’s get-out-the-vote effort, hundreds of volunteers will leave to knock doors and make calls from five separate staging locations in St. Pete every day until the polls close. Today alone, the campaign said volunteers have knocked on thousands of doors.

Saturday’s first shift of volunteers were greeted by Crist and Gillum.

Crist and Kriseman spoke to supporters at the campaign headquarters before joining Gillum at the south St. Pete campaign staging location.

Later in the day, Kriseman himself also knocked on doors. With just three days until polls close on Election Day, campaign officials said they are committed to having as many conversations as possible.

“Every day until Election Day, we’re committed to having as many conversations with voters as possible,” Krisaman said. “To continue the progress we’ve made these past four years, folks need to get out and vote. Hundreds of your neighbors have already voted. Take advantage of early voting this weekend or make sure to vote on Election Day.”
