Pinellas County Animal Services is offering a “name your price” special for Valentine week adoptions.

PINELLAS COUNTY – Find the unconditional love of a new pet this Valentine’s Day. Whether it’s a playful puppy or a serene senior pet, perfect match is waiting at Pinellas County Animal Services.

During Valentine’s Day week (Feb. 15-20), Animal Services is offering “name your price” special, where the adoptive family is able to set the adoption fee for their new family member. During the Valentine’s Day week, starting on Monday, Feb. 15 through Saturday, Feb. 20, Animal Services is offering “Name Your Price” special, where the adoptive family is able to set the adoption fee for their new family member. A list of adoptable dogs and cats is available online at Animal Services. This special includes medical checkup, spaying/neutering, vaccinations, internal and external parasite control, heartworm tests, feline leukemia testing and microchipping, valued at $200. Adoption counselors will be on hand to ensure that the right pet goes to the right family. Renters who are considering adoption are encouraged to bring a copy of their lease that states that pets are welcome. Pinellas County Animal Services is located at 12450 Ulmerton Road in Largo. Normal hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with the adoption center closing at 5:30 p.m. Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and services include adoptions. Rabies vaccinations are administered on Thursdays from 1 to 4 p.m. The facility is closed all Pinellas County holidays.
