A two-day dog agility competition is scheduled for Jan. 7 and 8.

BROOKSVILLE – Start the new year off with some really smart, agile dogs jumping, running and having a good time.

Dog agility is designed to demonstrate a dog’s willingness to work with his handler in a variety of situations, agility is an athletic event that requires conditioning, concentration, training, and teamwork. Agility is a great form of exercise for both dog and handler and a fun way for them to bond.

Bring your chair and watch the amazing work by the teams. Food and beverages will be available on site.

The Brilliant Dog Agility competition is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Jan. 7 and 8 at the Florida Classic Park, 5360 Lockhart Road, Brooksville. Admission is free. Parking is $5 per vehicle.
