The park should be fully opened again by Sunday (March 13).

SEMINOLE – Walsinghan Park, which was closed because of a brush fire, will partially reopen at noon today (March 11), county officials say.

The area around shelters 3, 4, 5 and 6 and the nearby recreational trail segment will remain closed through Saturday (March 12). All areas of the park are expected to be open to the public at 7 a.m. Sunday (March 13).

On Thursday, a brush fire affected 10 acres in the northern part of the park. Today, Pinellas County crews continue monitoring hot spots and performing cleanup. Smoke may continue to be visible throughout the day.

Walsingham is a 354-acre park divided by 100-acre Lake Walsingham. It is located at 12615 102nd Ave. N on the edge of Seminole.
