Summer One-Act Plays Open in Gulfport Tonight (July 7)

The plays will be performed through Sunday.
GULFPORT — Ten original plays never before seen in the Tampa Bay area are on tap starting today (July 7) and running through Sunday (July 10) at the Catherine Hickman Theater, 5501 27th Ave. S.
The 16th Annual Summer One-Acts are at 8 p.m. tonight, Friday and Saturday, and matinees are 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $16. They are available at Beach Bazaar, 3115 Beach Blvd. S. They also will be available at the door starting one hour before performance times.
Here are the plays and the playwrights: Candy Thief, Marsha Roberts; Wishful Thinking, Michael Wolfson; Retired Life, Stan Gurvitz; Immersion Therapy, David MacGregor; Catatonic, Nedra Pezold Roberts; Home Again, Anthony Pezzula; Bless the Child, Patrick Brafford; Under the Table, Maureen Brady Johnson; Whistler’s and His Mother, Joe Starzyk; and Here To Serve You, Barbara Lindsay
