St. Pete Preservation Releases New Movies-in-the-Park Schedule

Once again, a west St. Pete movie is added to the slate.

ST. PETERSBURG — Movies in the Park, presented by St. Petersburg Preservation, returns this fall with six free shows scheduled. The first is Saturday (Sept. 26), with Sunshine State showing at Sunset Park, on the south side of Central Avenue between Park Street and Sunset Drive. Live music begins at 6 p.m. and the movie starts at 6.  The others are scheduled for each Thursday in October at North Straub Park downtown, again with shows starting at dusk after the 6 p.m. live music. The dates are  

Oct. 1 (Moonstruck), Oct. 8 (Raiders of the Lost Ark), Oct. 15 (The Sister Act), Oct. 22 (Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory) and Oct. 29 (The Birds). For more information about the movies, music and St. Petersburg Preservation, visit www.stpetepreservation.org.
