The city is holding two public sessions this week to hear residents’ thoughts and ideas.

ST. PETERSBURG – The city of St. Petersburg and HKS Architects are holding two community meetings on the master plan vision for the redevelopment of the 85-acre Tropicana Field property.

The community meetings will provide the public with an opportunity to share their thoughts and perspectives for the future of the Tropicana Field site. At each meeting, citizens will learn more about Tropicana Field’s opportunity for growth, economic development and community enhancement.

“The potential redevelopment of the Tropicana Field site is a unique opportunity to re-imagine not just that site, but our entire downtown. Given the size of this property and the impact its transformation could have on our community, it is important to me that our residents have a strong voice in this process,” Mayor Rick Kriseman said.

The first community meeting will be 6:30 p.m. Monday (July 18) at the Coliseum, 535 4th Ave. N. The second is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday (July 19) at the Campbell Park Recreation Center, 601 14th St. S.
