Seminole Hires Search Firm to Find New City Manager

Seminole City Manager Frank Edmunds is retiring in August.

SEMINOLE – Colin Baenziger & Associates, a Daytona Beach Shores consulting firm, was selected by the Seminole City Council at its March 24 meeting to provide executive search services for the position of city manager. Frank Edmunds, the current manager, will be retiring in August  after 20 years with Seminole. Baenziger & Associates has 17 years of service. The fee is $23, 250. The company will conduct a needs assessment, advertise for interested applicants for the city manager position, screen and select finalists, refer top selections to the council for review and interviews, negotiate and continue to provide assistance as needed until the new manager is on the job, according to Mayor Leslie Waters. Seminole is also facing the retirement of long-time city attorney John Elias, who has announced he will also retire in August. For information, see myseminole.com or waterswave.org.
