Sparky the fire dog is scheduled to be a guest at Sunday’s (Jan. 31) event.

SEMINOLE – This city’s fire rescue department has scheduled an open house for noon to 3 p.m. Sunday (Jan. 31). The family event will give everyone a chance to tour a fire station, learn fire safety, find out about careers in fire-rescue, see an extrication demonstration, climb on antique (and modern) fire trucks and meet Sparky the fire dog. Refreshments will be available. It’s at Fire Station 29, 11195 70^th Ave. N (corner of 113^th  Street & 70^th).
