Park improvements also are on the agenda.

ST. PETERSBURG — Citizens are invited to share their thoughts about the city’s proposal to replace Fossil Park Fire Station No. 7 and about a proposed future master plan for Fossil Park during a 7 p.m. forum Wednesday night (Oct. 30).

The forum will be at the Willis S. Johns Center, 6335 Dr. M.L. King Jr. St. N. City staff will be on hand to answer questions from citizens.

The city is proposing to replace the existing fire station at 6975 Dr. M.L. King Jr. St. N with an 8,500-square-foot facility and three apparatus bays. Other additions include segregated sleeping quarters, restroom and shower facilities, an ADA-accessible restroom and a diesel exhaust system. The city has earmarked nearly $3.9 million for the project.

The fire station site plan will be discussed in the context of a master plan for Fossil Park. Additional information about both projects is available from Raul Quintana, City Architect, at (727) 893-7913.
