Registration is open for the Play! Dirty Adventure Run over more than 20 obstacles through Largo’s nature preserve.

LARGO – Are you ready for the new fitness challenge?

Try the Play! Dirty Adventure Run in Largo. The run tests stamina and agility with its course of more than 20 obstacles in the city’s nature preserve. There will be a competitive 5K, a 5K fun run and youth-only 3K races.

The run is scheduled for Feb. 6 at the Largo Central Park Nature Preserve, 150 Highland Ave. SE. The adult competitive run goes off at 10 a.m. The adult fun run starts at 10:30 a.m. with waves of 100 runners every 10 minutes. The youth run for ages 8 to 17 starts at noon. The competitive run has a $150 cash prize each for the male and female winners.

Adult registration: $65 until the day of the race; $75 on race day. Youth registration: $45 until the day of the race; $55 on race day. Youth may run Fun Run 3 Mile Race at the adult price. Proceeds benefit Largo summer camp scholarships. Every runner gets a T-shirt, finisher medal and goody bag. Goody bags can be picked up from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Feb. 4 and 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. Feb. 5 at Highland Recreational Complex, 400 Highland Ave. and on the day of the race at the nature preserve.
