The Pinellas County supervisor of elections is holding voter registration events today (July 29) and Saturday (July 30).

PINELLAS COUNTY – If you’re planning to vote in the Aug. 30 primary or non-partisan election and you haven’t registered, time is running out.

Monday (Aug. 1) is the last day to register or change your party affiliation for that election. Florida is a closed primary state and only voters who are registered with a party can vote in that party’s primary. However, there are also non-partisan elections that day – judges, Pinellas County School Board and a state Constitutional amendment. You do not have to be a member of a party to vote in those, but you do have to be registerred.

Address changes can be made online at VotePinellas.com, by calling (727) 464-VOTE (8683) or by emailing Election@VotePinellas.com, with birth date included. Name and party changes may be made by sending a signed, written statement to the Supervisor of Elections Office including birth date or voter ID number. Any updates, including signatures and political party affiliation, can be made by completing and signing a voter registration application and returning it to the Supervisor of Elections Office. All new applications received by mail must be postmarked by Monday (Aug. 1) to be valid for the Aug. 30 election.
