ST. PETERSBURG – The second phase in a two-part project to to develop a joint action plan for enhancements to the 22nd Street Deuces Live Corridor and the Warehouse Arts District is scheduled this week.

Together, this emerging area represents one of the most culturally vibrant, historically significant urban areas in the state of Florida. The goal of the project is to develop a joint framework plan with recommendations to the streetscape, open space, branding and wayfinding, private property enhancement as well as programs for events, investment and celebration of this diverse urban place.

Topics will include brand characteristics, gateways and signage graphics, streets and public realm, and other community themes and guiding ideas identified during the first discovery phase of the planning process.

The work will include specific focus on the Deuces Live Main Street, the Warehouse Arts District, and the ‘Joint Planning Area’ at 22nd Avenue/5th Street S. All sessions will be at the St. Petersburg College Midtown Campus, 1300 22nd S.S.

Day 1 – Monday (Jan. 30) – 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Join the team as it summarizes outline goals for the workshop series, presents findings to date, conducts an interactive exercise, and gives design “assignments” to team members and participants.
