St. Pete Opens Literacy Center

The center, at the Mirror Lake Community Library, will offer free adult literacy tutoring and other resources.

ST. PETERSBURG – The public is invited to tour the new Literacy Partnership Center, opening at the Mirror Lake Community Library on Saturday (Oct. 15).

The open house is scheduled from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the library, 280 Fifth St. N. Light refreshments will be served.

Located on the third floor of the library, the Literacy Partnership Center will provide free services including adult literacy tutoring and referral resources. The St. Petersburg Library System, the Literacy Council of St. Petersburg and United Methodist Cooperative Ministries/Suncoast are partnering to expand literacy services and to increase the number of literate adult residents in St. Petersburg.
