St. Pete Libraries Offer Food, Energy Workshops

 One is Tuesday (March 22), the other is April 18.

ST. PETERSBURG – The University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences, Pinellas County Extension, is offering two free workshops at St. Petersburg libraries.

Food for Thought takes place on Tuesday (March 22), 6 p.m. at the St. Petersburg Main Library, 3745 Ninth Ave. N. Participants will learn about food waste, its impact on the planet, and ways to reduce food waste. Register at https://stpetefoodwaste.eventbrite.com/

The next workshop, this one about Energy Efficiency, is on Monday, April 18, 5:50 p.m. at the Mirror Lake Library, 280 Fifth St. N., in downtown St. Petersburg, Participants will learn to use an energy monitor (available for checkout at St. Petersburg libraries), how to prevent phantom energy loss, and lots of energy-saving tips.
