PAWS Event Scheduled for St. Pete

Saturday’s (June 27) event will feature services that include reduced cost spaying, neutering and microchipping for dogs and cats and educational information on wildlife and other animal issues.

ST. PETERSBURG – Pet organizations in Pinellas County will provide educational and veterinary medical services during a community event from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday (June 27) at the future home of the SPCA Tampa Bay Wellness Clinic, 3250 Fifth Ave. N. The event is free and open to the public. All pets must be on a leash or in a carrier at all times.

The Community Pinellas Animal Welfare Services (PAWS) event will offer services such as microchipping, heartworm testing, rabies vaccination, licensing, and reduced cost spaying/neutering for dogs and cats of Pinellas County residents. Educational information on wildlife, community outreach and animal ordinances will also be available. Participating partners are Pinellas County Animal Services, the Humane Society of Pinellas, SPCA Tampa Bay, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Managing and Ending Overpopulation Wisely (MEOW Now!) and the Urban Wildlife Center.
