St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman has scheduled a “community conversation” about bullying tonight (Feb. 19).

ST. PETERSBURG – Students, parents, educators, elected officials, community leaders, youth organizations and anyone interested in stopping bullying in the community are invited to attend a community conversation hosted by St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman at 6 tonight (Feb. 19) at the St. Petersburg High School Auditorium, 2501 Fifth Ave. N.

The event features a screening of the 45-minute version of the movie Bully followed by an informal conversation moderated by Kriseman and Great38TV’s Jennifer Holloway. Joining in the conversation will be former Tampa Bay Buccaneer Mike Alstott, Light Middle-Weight Boxing Champion Winky Wright, Miss Florida Victoria Cowen, Metro Wellness and Community Centers Director Chris Rudisill, St. Petersburg Chief of Police Tony Holloway and Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri, among others.

There will also be a special performance by Phoebe Golden, a Mayor’s Youth Achievement Award winner from Azalea Middle School, who two years ago suffered a traumatic brain injury from a bully but has found hope and inspiration through music. Pre-event entertainment will be provided by Orlando Davis and the 94.1 Street Team.

Complimentary child care will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis courtesy of R’Club. (Children must be toilet trained.)
