The Great BrainWash benefits the Brain Tumor Alliance.

ST. PETERSBURG -Run through St. Pete’s downtown waterfront Saturday (Aug. 6) while tackling inflatable water obstacles.

The Great BrainWash 5K – formerly Wig Out Against Brain Cancer – benefits the Brain Tumor Alliance. The alliance aims to raise awareness and funds for brain cancer research while helping those suffering with a brain tumor have a better quality of life.

In addition to the 5K water obstacle race, there will be a beer garden, Florida cane vodka bar, music, dancing and food.

Today (Aug. 3) is the last day to register online. But registration is still open Friday (Aug. 5) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at packet pickup in North Vinoy Park, 701 Bayshore Drive NE, or from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Fit2Run, 256 Second St. N.

Waves of runners start at 8 a.m. and go until 10 a.m. The beer and vodka garden goes from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. It all happens in North Straub Park, 480 Bayshore Drive NE.
