ST. PETE BEACH – Pinellas County deputies are investigating a three-car crash that happened Monday (March 23) because one driver was headed the wrong way. Deputies say that Erica Hubbell, 33, whom they say is a transient, was driving a 2003 Toyota Corolla north in the southbound lands of Gulf Boulevard about 1 p.m. Deputies say she collided head on with a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country driven by Joan Rouse, 64, of St. Petersburg. Hubbell then sideswiped a 2009 Chrysler 300 driven by James Eastman, 71, of South Pasadena. Deputies say Hubbell had to be extricated from her car and was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
