Registration Open for Seminole Citizen’s Academy

Seminole | City Hall | Government

Get a behind-the-scenes look at how the Seminole city government functions.

SEMINOLE – Registration is open for the Seminole Citizens Academy.

The free academy runs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesdays from March 29 through May 10. Light refreshments are provided.

The academy gives Seminole residents a chance to learn about their local government, meet officials (elected and appointed) and get a first-hand, behind-the-scenes look at how government is run. Each class focuses on a different city department – administration, public works, fire rescue, law enforcement (provided by the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office), recreation, library and community development.

To register, go to myseminole.com or, for information, contact Fire Chief Heather Burford at hburford@myseminole.com.
