The Mohn Funeral Home remembered her many contributions:

“A resident of the St. Petersburg/Seminole Community for over 60 years, Marty was best known for her love of family, friends, community, and the Christmas Season. Marty and Lewis operated on the Golden Rule, treating everyone with equal kindness and a desire to serve others as though they were family.

“Martha was involved with the Seminole Volunteer Fire Department, before Seminole Fire & Rescue was formed and hosted meetings for the volunteer firefighters at the funeral home. She also volunteered as a dispatcher for several years in the early 1960s.

“A longtime member of the GFWC-Pinellas Seminole Women’s Club, she served as president for several terms. She also served on the Seminole Historical Society board, volunteered with the Bay Ridge Business and Professional Women’s Club, the American Heart Association and the Senior Citizens Club of Seminole, and was involved with the Mu Alpha sorority of Beta Sigma Phi, serving twice as president, and the Seminole Kiwanis Club.
