PINELLAS COUNTY – Residents of Seminole and other nearby areas will have a new drop-off point for recyclables. The new site is inside Lake Seminole Park, 10015 Park Blvd. It’s open daily from 7 a.m. to sunset.  Residents who had been using the Oakhurst Water Tower drop-off recycling site at 11323 74th Ave. in Seminole will be redirected to the new location when the Oakhurst site closes March 31. At the drop-off site, residents can recycle items including aluminum cans, cardboard, cartons, glass (all colors), mixed paper, newspapers, plastics (numbers 1 thru 7), and steel cans.  Each year, citizens in Pinellas County who participate in curbside and drop-off recycling help recycle more than 2,000 tons of material.
