Quick Reminder: Don’t Forget Career Fest on Wednesday (June 29)

The Community Redevelopment Area (CRA) Workforce Readiness-Apprenticeship and Career Fair is noon to 6 p.m. at P-TEC.

ST. PETERSBURG —  Representatives from skilled trades and union organizations include operating engineers, iron workers, boiler makers, pipe trades, electrical workers and more will be on to give guidance to job-seekers at the Wednesday Career Fair at Pinellas Technical College, 901 34th St. S. The event begins at noon, with workshops starting at 1 p.m. 

Admission is free. Parking entrance is from 11th Avenue South.

Some exhibitors and employers include the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority, Tampa Bay Times, YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg, The Renaissance Vinoy, CareerSource Pinellas, Crown Auto Dealerships, Pinellas Ex-Offender Re-entry Coalition, Duke Energy, AMSkills, JMI Resources, the 2020 Plan Taskforce, Sun Country Cleaners, Pinellas County Urban League, Jump Station, Vocational Rehab and Handymen for All.

Presented by the City of St. Petersburg Urban Affairs Division and hosted by P-TEC, the Career Fair features free workshops such as  Resumes That Get Noticed; Survival of the Fittest; Get Certified, Get Paid; Pre-Apprenticeship and Apprenticeship; From Employee to Employer; and Your Past Does Not Determine Your Future.
