Road Closures and Heavy Traffic in Pinellas Park Today
It’s all part of the city’s annual Christmas parade compounded with a live concert in the area.
PINELLAS PARK – Heavy traffic is expected in Pinellas Park today (Dec. 12) from a mix of a live concert and the temporary closure of portions of Park Boulevard for the 43rd Annual Christmas parade.
The England Brothers Bandshell, 5010 81st Ave. N, will be the site of a live concert with Quiet Riot. Gates are scheduled to open at 5 p.m. with the concert starting at 6 p.m. At the same time, the Pinellas Park Christmas parade is scheduled to step off along Park Boulevard at 6 p.m. Portions of eastbound Park from 66th to 40th streets N will be closed for the event. This closure affects 49th Street N and other cross streets in the area.
Closure details:
49TH STREET CLOSURES begin about 1:45 p.m. Complete closure of eastbound Park Boulevard between 66th and 49th streets N will be complete by approximately 2:15 p.m.
THE ENTIRE ROUTE (Eastbound Park Boulevard between 66th and 40th streets N) will be closed by approximately 2:30 p.m.

While only eastbound Park Boulevard is closed, westbound Park Boulevard still becomes congested as do east- and westbound 70th and 78th avenues N.
