Pinellas Crime | Local News | TB Reporter

Pinellas Park police arrested two men and two women and charged them with drug-related crimes after searching two homes.

PINELLAS PARK – Police say they arrested four Friday after they searched two homes where, they say, methamphetamine was being manufactured.

Arrested were Philip Clark, 27; Steven Joe Dunn, 37; Autumn Newton, 28; and Brittany Tarble, 29.

Clark was charged with manufacture of methamphetamine as well as possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia. Tarble was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia. Dunn was charged with manufacture of methamphetamine. Newton was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).

Pinellas Park police say it happened this way:

Members of the Pinellas Park SWAT team served a search warrant on a home at 6941 59th Way N about 7 a.m. Friday. The warrant was issued because police had information methamphetamine was being manufactured and sold there. Newton was arrested at that residence. Dunn had already left the home but police found him at his job and arrested him there.

Police then executed a second search warrant at 7900 55th St. N where they believed methamphetamine was also being made and sold. Clark and Tarble were arrested there.

The Pinellas Park Fire Department helped because of the potential hazardous nature of an active meth lab, police say. Also aiding in the investigation were members of the Pinellas County and Citrus County sheriffs’ offices whose deputies have received special training on how to safely dismantle and dispose of meth labs and materials found inside. This training is provided to law enforcement agencies by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
