The Florida Department of Transportation is scheduled to begin roadwork at the busy Gandy/Park Boulevard and U.S. 19 intersection beginning Monday (June 1).

PINELLAS PARK – City eingineering officials say the Florida Department of Transportation has told them that bridge maintenance work is scheduled to start Monday (June 1) on the Gandy bridge. The bridge spans U.S. 19 N at Gandy/Park Boulevard. The work, which will be done from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, will take about three weeks. While it’s being done, some lanes in all directions on both U.S. 19 and Gandy/Park will be closed. Traffic is expected to be impacted.

The closures: East- and westbound Gandy/Park will be reduced to one lane. Westbound Gandy/Park will also go to one lane.
