Pinellas Sewer Task Force to Meet

The task force is designed to get the county, city and private stakeholders together to come up with a unified plan to solve Pinellas’ sewer woes.

PINELLAS COUNTY – County, city and agency partners who will make up the wastewater/stormwater Task Force will hold its inaugural meeting Monday (Oct. 17).

The Task Force is comprised of the county, 17 municipal leaders and 10 agency leaders, as well as staff representatives who will serve on a technical working group. The collaborative effort will create long-term, comprehensive solutions for stormwater inflow and groundwater infiltration issues, as well as identify the potential need for increased countywide system capacity.

The meeting will begin at 9 a.m., with a presentation on the task force’s framework, ideas and mission, followed by a call to action on short-term and long-term goals. The meeting will bein the Digitorium at the University Partnership Center on the Seminole campus of St. Petersburg College, 9200 113th St. N.
