Pedestrian Injured in Pinellas Hit and Run

The Florida Highway Patrol is seeking help in finding the driver.

PINELLAS COUNTY – A Clearwater man was seriously injured Monday (July 18) night when he was hit while walking along Ulmerton Road, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Donald G. Morris, 59, of Clearwater, was taken to Bayfront Health in St. Petersburg with serious injuries, the FHP said.

Troopers said Morris was walking east on the inside lane of Ulmerton Road about 8:34 p.m. when he was hit by an unidentified vehicle that failed to stop. The vehicle was described as a white truck with the possible Florida license plate of 3747UA, troopers said. The FHP is asking anyone with information about the case to call (813) 631-4020.
