Meeting Set to Discuss Well Springs Park Project Near Palm Harbor

The meeting is designed to update residents on proposed plans for the Well Springs Park McMullen addition.

PALM HARBOR – Pinellas County officials have set a public meeting to discuss the proposed improvements on the former McMullen property addition to the Wall Springs Park. The county is planning a Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program grant submission for the Wall Springs Coastal Additions project and will discuss the proposed recreational amenities and modifications made to the design since the last public meeting was held April 28.

The Wall Springs McMullen addition is a 121-acre parcel of land located west of Alt. US 19 and north of Wai Lanai Road. The proposed improvements include a picnic shelter pavilion, elevated observation platform, paved trails, nature trails and restrooms.The $3.66 million construction project is anticipated to begin in 2016 and will be funded by Penny for Pinellas.

The meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday (Aug. 4) at Baywood Village Clubhouse, 309 Westwinds Drive, Palm Harbor. Representatives from the project team will be available to take comments and answer questions.
