Hillsborough Sheriff Accuses Palm Harbor Man in Road Rage Incident

Deputies say the suspect pointed a handgun at the victims.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – Deputies have arrested a Palm Harbor man and charged him in a July 4 road rage incident.

James Marcus Burke, 48, of 4076 Carlyle Lakes Blvd. in Palm Harbor, was charged with aggravated assault with a firearm, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident happened about 6:10 p.m. on July 4 on Crawley Road near Keystone Grove. The suspect chased the victims down and forced them to stop by pulling in front of them, deputies said. The suspect got out of his car and pointed a black handgun at the victims. Deputies said he fled when he saw one of the victims videotaping the incident.
