Pinellas Sheriff Charges Three in Oldsmar Robberies

The robbers used a dating website to lure victims, Pinellas sheriff’s deputies said. Deputies believe there are more victims.

PINELLAS COUNTY – Two men and a woman were arrested and charged with using a dating website to lure victims to a local motel, where they were robbed at gunpoint, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.

Charlie L. Woodley, 21, of 827 Trotter Road, Apt. B, Largo, was charged with two counts of robbery with a deadly weapon or firearm. Cameron M. Davis, 20, 0f 3172 Duane Ave., Oldsmar, was also charged with two counts of robbery with a deadly weapon or firearm. Rachel C. Brown, 19, of 1304 Pine Vista Drive, Largo, was charged with one count of principal to robbery with a deadly weapon or firearm, according to deputies.

Deputies said two unsuspecting victims reported using the website “Plenty of Fish,” a popular dating site to meet a woman. The victims communicated with the suspects who identified themselves as “Jessica” or “Curvy_Cameron93.” The victims and the suspects continued communication through text messages and agreed to meet the users in a room at the Bayview Motel, 501 Bayview Blvd., Oldsmar.

When the victims arrived at the prearranged meeting locations, deputies said, they were battered and robbed at gun point by two male suspects. The suspects stole cash and various personal belongings from the victims and fled the scene.

The first robbery happened about 8:45 p.m. June 19. The second robbery happened about 3:25 a.m. Friday (June 24).

Deputies identified the suspects as Woodley, Davis and Cameron. They were arrested early this morning (June 25).

Deputies said they believe there are additional victims who have not been identified. If anyone has any information on this case or has become a victim they are asked to contact Cpl. Jeff Capra at the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office at (727) 582-6200.
