Feral Cats, Neighborhood Cleanup on Lealman Agenda

Neighborhood activists are scheduled to talk about neighborhood improvements at tonight’s (Aug. 5) Lealman Community Association meeting.

LEALMAN – Humane reduction in the population of feral cats and an adopt-a-block program are the topics at the Lealman Community Association meeting tonight.

Speakers are Pastor Bill Losasso, whose Florida Dream Center is providing hands-on help to some of Lealman’s neediest residents, and Dan Hester, founder of Meow Now, the county’s first organization devoted to reducing the county’s feral cat population by trapping, spaying, neutering and returning the cats to their habitat. The meeting is open to the public. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the meeting beginning at 7 p.m. at the Veterans of Foreign Wars, 4145 34th St. N.
