Wristbands go on sale today (March 1) for the city-sponsored Easter Egg Hunt in Largo.

LARGO – Spring must almost be here in Largo where wristbands for the city’s annual Easter Egg Hunt go on sale today (March 1).

The hunt includes a variety of activities for children of all ages including bounce houses, a train ride, music, food vendors, and age appropriate hunts (so don’t forget your basket). The Easter Bunny will hop on by for photos and there will be DJ games throughout the event. The hunt is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. March 28 at the Highland Recreation Complex, 400 Highland NE Ave.

Times and ages for hunts:

Younger than 3: 5:45 p.m. & 6 p.m.
Ages 3 – 5: 6:15 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 6:45 p.m.
Ages 6 – 8: 7 p.m., 7:15 p.m., 7:30 p.m.
Ages 9 – 12: 7:45 p.m., 8 p.m.

Each hunt will have a corresponding colored wristband. Once purchased, please be sure to check your hunt time as each hunt is limited to 50 children. The wristband will include a single hunt as well as the other activities offered during the event (ie. bounce houses, photo with bunny, train ride). Wristbands are $8 per child. (All children who want to participate MUST have a wristband, not required for adults.) Wristbands are on sale beginning today (March 1) at Highland Recreation Complex. The event is rain or shine.  Parking will be available on site; at the Largo Sports Complex, 1640 McMullen Road; and at Largo City Hall, 201 Highland Ave. For information, see largo.com.
If you do not buy a wristband in advance, Largo officials say you should check before coming as the event may be sold out.
