Get Rid of Old TVs, Other Electronics at Largo Event

A free recycling event is scheduled for Saturday (March 12) at the Largo Home Depot.

LARGO – Recycle old electronics and chemical waste for free Saturday, March 12 from 9 a.m. until 2pm at the Largo Home Depot, 10689 Ulmerton Road. Pinellas County Solid Waste Operations and the city of Largo Solid Waste Division will be on hand to assist attendees, just drive through and drop off your items.

Mobile collections are a convenient way for residents to safely dispose of hazardous chemicals and electronics, such as old computers, TVs, paint or fertilizer. These events are free to Pinellas County citizens. Businesses pay a fee. 

What to Bring

Chemicals: automotive fluids, batteries, cleaners, cooking oil, fertilizers, fluorescent bulbs and other mercury containing devices, fuels, fungicides, herbicides, insecticides, motor oil, paint (latex or oil), paint remover, paint thinner, pesticides, pool chemicals, rechargeable batteries, smoke detectors, solvents, wood preservatives.

Electronics: cell phones, computer towers/CPUs, drives, laptops, monitors, rechargeable batteries, smart phones, tablets, televisions.

What Not to Bring

Appliances, biological or infectious waste, empty paint cans, explosives, fire extinguishers, garbage, propane tanks, radioactive waste, smoke detectors and vehicle batteries.
