A section of the road failed while Largo was making improvements to the sanitary sewer line in the area.

LARGO – A stretch of Ridge Road in Largo will be closed through at least the end of next week (week of July 13) just north of Ulmerton Road from Valencia Drive to 1^4th Avenue SW as crews assess the extent of road repairs stemming from underground sanitary sewer pipe work.  A portion of the road failed during work by the city of Largo to install new sewer lines making the route unsafe for travel.  Signs are posted indicating the closure area and the detour route, which is Seminole Boulevard, just to the east. During the repairs, Ridge Road will be limited to local traffic only between West Bay Drive and Ulmerton Road.
