Pinellas Transit Plans Are Topic at Largo Chamber Lunch

Whit Blanton, executive director of the Pinellas Planning Council and Metropolitan Planning Organization, will be the guest speaker.

LARGO – Luncheon guests will get a glimpse of the potential future of transportation in Pinellas during a Central Pinellas Chamber of Commerce luncheon. The keynote address, “Down the Road: A Look at the County’s Future Transit Plans” will be presented by Whit Blanton. Blanton is the new executive director of the merged Pinellas Planning Council and Metropolitan Planning Organization. The group is responsible for integrating countywide land use and transportation planning and strengthening the regional transportation network for Pinellas, Hillsborough and Pasco counties. The luncheon is scheduled for 11:45 a.m. Tuesday (Feb. 9) at Palms of Largo Royal Palms Theater, 200 Lake Ave. N.
