Largo Pedestrian Dead After Thursday Crash

The man was crossing Ulmerton Road when he was hit, Florida Highway Patrol officials said.

PINELLAS COUNTY – A Largo man died Thursday (Jan. 7) of injuries received when he was struck by a car on Ulmerton Road.

James Carey Anderson, 53, died at Northside Hospital, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The FHP said he was crossing Ulmerton Road east of Audrey Lane about 8:09 p.m. when he stepped into the path of a 2008 Dodge Avenger being driven by Gail Herrera, 55, of Seminole. No one in the Avenger was injured. No charges have been filed.
