For Local Craft Beer, Try Kenneth City
Brewburgers Tap House is expected to bring 15 jobs to the Kenneth City area. It will be the first such restaurant for the town.
KENNETH CITY – Brewburgers Tap House, specializing in local craft beers, is scheduled to open Friday (Dec. 2).
The restaurant will be the second location for Brewburgers and the first such restaurant for Kenneth City. It is expected to bring 15 new jobs. The restaurant will open in part of the building that formerly housed Rudy’s Ace Hardware, 5861 54th Ave. N.
Rudy’s, a Kenneth City landmark, had called the town home since the late 1960s. It closed in 2011 and the property was purchased by Arvana Development, with has redeveloped the site into a modern, mixed-use plaza with retail shops and light industrial space. Arvana has beautified the site with a modern façade, and adding 30 percent more landscaping as well as an artistic bike rack designed to celebrate Rudy’s. Four other stores – Shabby Chic Interiors, R2 Barbershop, and MCare, an independent compounding pharmacy – have recently opened on the site.
The redevelopment of the site comes at a time when the town is working on beautification projects. Work has recently been completed on new signage, decorative street lights and landscaping along 54th Avenue. The town has also eliminated its red light cameras.
This will be the second location for Brewburgers, which is family owned. The first Brewburgers is at4195 34th St. S in St. Petersburg.
The restaurant is open seven days a week. The menu includes a full range of burgers, salads, wings and appetizers as well as 25 local craft beers on site. The food is made to order and the sauces are homemade. The restaurant features indoor and outdoor seating, patio games, live entertainment and the patio area is pet friendly. Online ordering is available.
