The sandbags will be available until 6 p.m. or bad weather starts.

GULFPORT -The city of Gulfport is making sandbags available this morning (Aug. 29) to allow residents to prepare for Tropical Depression 9.

Pinellas County is expected to experience 5 inches to 7 inches of rain through Friday morning. City of Gulfport public works crews are preparing for any weather related impacts.

Sandbags will be available at Gulfport City Hall, 2401 53rd St. S, from 8 a.m. through 6 p.m. or until inclement weather begins. There is 10-bag limit and proof of residency may be required.
